In what ways is God worthy of our respect and praise?

2 Samuel 22:4“I [David] called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.”

Psalm 29:1-2Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength. Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

Psalm 33:4The word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything he does.

Psalm 145:3Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.

Revelation 4:11“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

In every way, God is worthy of our praise, worship, respect, and trust. In our limited human perspective on life and the world, it is common to assign worth to created things rather than the Creator of all things. When we do this, we lose perspective on who God is, on what he has done for us, and on what life is all about.
