Why is it important for me to seek God’s vision for the future? - Vision - TouchPoints
Isaiah 55:8-9“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
Matthew 6:31-33“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
John 14:12“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”
Ephesians 3:20Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
We already have some vision of the future. Seeking God’s vision breaks our bondage to small ideas that are not worthy of God or representative of God’s work in the world. God’s vision expands our minds to greater possibilities. By aligning our vision with God’s vision for our lives, we will be inspired to navigate our future with purpose and clarity.
Romans 12:2Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
When our vision aligns with God’s, we can work for him with enthusiasm knowing that his plans are being carried out through us.
