What is the connection between salvation and hope?

John 3:6“Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.”

1 Peter 3:15Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it.

Salvation brings the hope of real and lasting change in your life. This transformation should become increasingly noticeable in your life.

Romans 5:1Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

Salvation brings the hope of an intimate relationship with God. Salvation is more than being rescued from sin; it is a new relationship with God.

Ephesians 2:10We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Salvation brings the hope of a meaningful life filled with virtue and service. Salvation changes today’s choices and actions and tomorrow’s expectations and destiny.

John 11:25-26Jesus told her [Martha], “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

1 Thessalonians 5:10Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.

For those who are saved, even death holds the promise of hope. Although death is considered our worst enemy, it is death that helps us graduate into our eternal reward.

Romans 6:11So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.

Being saved means being freed from the power of sin to live a new life. What we consider our life to be (stuck in sin or alive in Christ) will largely be what we experience.
