Am I wrong to feel restless about my future?

Numbers 20:2-13Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the staff, . . .

Restlessness is wrong and can lead to sin when it is rooted in angry or selfish impatience.

1 Samuel 13:8-14Saul replied, “. . . I felt compelled to offer the burnt offering myself before you came.”

Restlessness is wrong when we disregard God’s timing in favor of our own because we will probably cut corners and displease God.

Ecclesiastes 1:12-13; 12:13-14I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. . . . Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.

A restless search for truth can lead to a deeper understanding of God and his purposes.
