What are my responsibilities before God?
Matthew 25:29“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”
God holds us responsible for investing our talents and resources boldly for his Kingdom.
Romans 12:6-8In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
God holds us responsible to use the gifts he has given us for the good of the church.
1 John 4:11Since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
According to God, our two greatest responsibilities are to love him and love others.
Micah 6:8No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
God holds us responsible for pursuing a personal relationship with him and for obeying him. He also requires us to maintain relationships with others that demonstrate his love and mercy.
