Are God’s promises really trustworthy?

Numbers 23:19“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”

Joshua 23:14“Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed!”

1 Kings 8:56“Praise the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave through his servant Moses.”

Psalm 92:12-15The godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. They will declare, “The Lord is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in him!”

Luke 1:69-70“He [the Lord] has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David, just as he promised through his holy prophets long ago.”

God’s promises are completely trustworthy! People of genuine faith have always made it a point to publicly declare that trustworthiness. A promise from God is a down payment on the character of God. The promises of a perfect God cannot fail.
