What is the secret to peace?

John 14:27I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot don't be troubled or afraid.

The peace Jesus offers is different from anything the world can provide. It isn't based on having perfect circumstances; it comes from knowing that Christ is with you no matter what you face.

Philippians 4:6-7Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 3:24-26You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security.

Jeremiah 17:7-8"But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. [8] They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.

Peace grows when we remember that our security is found in God.

Isaiah 26:3You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

True peace comes from keeping our minds focused on God rather than our fears and circumstances.

2 Thessalonians 3:16Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.

The Lord of peace himself offers you his peace in every season and every circumstance.

John 16:33I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

Jesus never promised a trouble-free life, but He promised peace in the midst of trouble. Remember his promise when you face trials here on earth.

Psalm 29:11The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

Peace is not something we earn; it is a blessing God gives to His people. Ask God for strength and peace for today.

Colossians 3:15And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Sometimes we must fight for Christ’s peace to rule in our hearts. One way we do this is by asking God to guide our decisions and emotions and thanking him in every circumstance.

Colossians 1:19-20For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

Psalm 23:1-4The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.
