In what ways can my humiliation affect others?

Job 19:9“He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.”

Psalm 109:22-25I am poor and needy, and my heart is full of pain. I am fading like a shadow at dusk; I am brushed off like a locust. My knees are weak from fasting, and I am skin and bones. I am a joke to people everywhere; when they see me, they shake their heads in scorn.

James 2:2-4For example, suppose someone comes into your meeting dressed in fancy clothes and expensive jewelry, and another comes in who is poor and dressed in dirty clothes. If you give special attention and a good seat to the rich person, but you say to the poor one, “You can stand over there, or else sit on the floor”—well, doesn’t this discrimination show that your judgments are guided by evil motives?

Our humiliation affects how others perceive us, especially if we have caused our humiliations by sinful attitudes and actions.
