Why should I trust God as my hope?

Hebrews 6:18-19God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

Hebrews 10:23Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

1 Peter 1:21Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory.

God cannot lie because he is truth; therefore, God cannot break his promises, and his Word stands forever. God can be trusted for our hope because he alone conquered death by raising Christ from the dead. Our hope is that we will be raised as Christ was, to live eternally with God.
