In what ways does hope help me live better today?

Philippians 3:13-14No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Hope focuses on our future, especially our eternal future. It gives us the motivation and energy to press on in our daily tasks.

1 John 3:3All who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.

Hope is the motivating factor to help us resist temptation and keep our lives pure before God.
