How can I become more holy?

Romans 12:1-2And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Philippians 2:13God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

The Lord changes our lives from the inside out. He renews our minds, giving us the spiritual insight to see what he wants us to do and how he wants us to live. God also gives us the desire and power to do so through his Holy Spirit.

John 17:17“Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.”

Our holiness grows as we learn truth from God’s Word.

Acts 20:32“And now I entrust you to God and the message of his grace that is able to build you up and give you an inheritance with all those he has set apart for himself.”

God’s Word both instructs and inspires us to become holy and mature in our faith.

2 Corinthians 3:18So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Galatians 5:22-23The Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

1 Thessalonians 4:7-8God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

God’s Holy Spirit works in us, changing us to reflect his holiness.
