Can I ever hide from God?

2 Chronicles 16:9“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war.”

Psalm 44:21God would surely have known it, for he knows the secrets of every heart.

Psalm 69:5O God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.

Psalm 90:8You spread out our sins before you—our secret sins—and you see them all.

Psalm 139:1-12O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Jeremiah 23:23-24“Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord. “No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.

Daniel 2:22“He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light.”

Hebrews 4:13Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

No one can ever hide from God, and nothing can ever be hidden from him. Where can we hide when God is omnipresent, everywhere? What can we hide when God is omniscient, all knowing?
