Romans 13:13-14Because we belong to the day, we must live decent lives for all to see. Don’t participate in the darkness of wild parties and drunkenness, or in sexual promiscuity and immoral living, or in quarreling and jealousy. Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

1 Corinthians 10:31So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Colossians 3:17Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Everything we do should be done for God’s glory because all glory belongs to him and because we represent him on earth. So we should never quit any assignment that he has given to us. But we should stop doing—quit—any work or activity that diminishes his glory, especially those that lead to sin or are sinful in themselves.
