How should I handle betrayal—when someone hasn’t been faithful to me?

Matthew 5:43-44“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!”

2 Timothy 2:13If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is.

When others are unfaithful to us, we should imitate Christ and remain faithful. Otherwise, we become as faithless as they are. Even in extreme situations such as adultery and abuse when separation from the unfaithful person is necessary, we should love that person and pray him or her.
