How do I develop faithfulness?

Luke 16:10“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.”

Faithfulness is a way of life. Exercising faithfulness in “little things” strengthens us for being faithful in greater ones. Doing what we said we would do when we said we would do it, intentionally spending time with friends and family, and supporting people even during their bad days are everyday ways we can be faithful, and they will prepare us for life’s greater challenges.

2 Kings 12:15No accounting of this money was required from the construction supervisors, because they were honest and trustworthy men.

Daniel 6:4Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy.

We can cultivate faithfulness by being honest and trustworthy.

Deuteronomy 28:9“If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do.”

We can cultivate faithfulness by obeying God’s Word, which teaches us to imitate God’s faithfulness.

1 Timothy 3:12A deacon must be faithful to his wife, and he must manage his children and household well.

We can cultivate faithfulness in our relationships by keeping our promises and commitments, no matter what.

Proverbs 3:3-4Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation.

We can cultivate faithfulness through loyalty and kindness.
