Where is the first excuse in the Bible?

Genesis 3:11-12“Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?” The man replied, “It was the woman you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.”

Adam, the first man, made the first excuse. He ate the fruit, but he blamed Eve for offering it to him and indirectly blamed God for giving him “the woman.” Then Eve blamed the serpent for convincing her to eat it. Both tried to excuse their actions by blaming someone else. It is interesting that people started making excuses after the very first sin!
