What are ways our egos can harm what Jesus is trying to do in the world?

Matthew 23:1-5Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees are the official interpreters of the law of Moses. So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don’t follow their example. For they don’t practice what they teach. They crush people with impossible religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden. Everything they do is for show.”

If we act like we are better than everyone else, we will turn people away from Christ.

Proverbs 11:2Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.

A prideful, egotistical Christian will disgrace the cause of Christ and turn people away from him.
