What is the danger of indecision?

Isaiah 42:20You see and recognize what is right but refuse to act on it. You hear with your ears, but you don’t really listen.

James 1:5-8If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. . . . But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Indecision is really a decision not to make a decision. When you procrastinate in making decisions, you forfeit your ability to choose and will be at the mercy of decisions made by others.

Joshua 24:15If you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.

Indecision regarding matters of faith can slowly but persistently draw you away from God. Not deciding for God is actually making a decision against him.
