How can I be certain that there is eternal life?

1 Corinthians 15:20In fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died.

Jesus’ resurrection guarantees the resurrection of everyone who believes he rose from the dead to pardon their sin.

1 Corinthians 15:4-6He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died.

The resurrection of Jesus is not just a religious legend. The biblical record mentions eyewitnesses to the risen Jesus and others who interviewed them. Historical investigation serves only to confirm the fact of the resurrection. We can have confidence in the resurrection of Jesus and, therefore, the eternal life God offers through him.
