Matthew 5:11-12“God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.”

John 16:33“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

God does not say he will always prevent crises in your life—we live in a sinful world where terrible things happen. But God does promise to always be there with you and for you, helping you through any crisis as you journey toward your eternal reward. And he promises to help you learn how to have peace and hope in any crisis.
