Shouldn’t those who believe in God be free from crisis?

Psalm 50:15“Call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”

Everyone experiences problems, trials, and suffering. God doesn’t promise that his followers won’t experience difficulty in this life. He does promise to rescue his people (whether in this life or the next) for his glory.

John 16:33“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Don’t let crises surprise you. Jesus plainly told his first followers that in this fallen world, crisis and difficulty are certain. Yet, amid trials and sorrows, you have his promise of victory.
