How do I find the courage to admit my mistakes?
2 Samuel 12:13Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin.”
To admit your mistakes and sins is to open the door to forgiveness and restoration of relationships. It takes courage to do that because you have to swallow your pride. However, the alternative—hiding your mistakes and sins—is planting them to grow a bigger harvest of consequences tomorrow.
James 5:16Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
You can have courage to admit your mistakes when you understand the healing that can result.
1 John 1:9If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
You can have the courage to admit your sins to God because he promises to forgive you.
