Is there anything I can do to cultivate greater confidence?

Psalm 112:5-8Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.

Following God’s principles gives you the confidence of a clear conscience. You know you are doing right, and you know God will ultimately reward you for doing so.

Proverbs 3:5-6Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

You gain confidence by trusting in the Lord over your own understanding. He desires to guide you. When you ask God to show his will for you, he will reveal it to you. And when you follow his guidance, you can be confident you are going in the right direction!

Job 19:25“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.”

1 John 3:2Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is.

You gain confidence by standing strong in your faith, knowing that you are God’s child and that one day you will be with him forever in heaven. Such assuredness will help you confidently live for him today.
