How can I escape God’s condemnation?

John 3:16-17“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

John 5:24“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.”

2 Timothy 1:9God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

You can escape God’s condemnation when by trusting in Jesus Christ, the Savior that God sent. When you realize that he died for your sins and took the punishment so you wouldn’t have to, you understand his great love for you. This allows your love for him to begin to grow. Then you begin a lifelong journey of serving him and experiencing his love.

Romans 3:24-25Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.

Romans 5:16-17Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:1-2So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Titus 3:7Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

If you have put your faith in Jesus, and so belong to him, you have been freed forever from condemnation. Jesus bore the ultimate punishment for your sins—death—when he died in your place. He declares you “not guilty.” This is God’s gracious gift of salvation in Jesus Christ.
