Is communion necessary for Christians?

1 Corinthians 11:25[Jesus] took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”

The celebration of communion is not necessary for salvation. However, the fact that Jesus instituted this sacred ceremony shows how important it was to him. It is vital for believers to regularly get together to remember and recite the truths of the Christian faith. Otherwise, we will forget them, and soon forget God himself.
