How does God comfort me?

Psalm 10:17Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will hear their cries and comfort them.

He comforts you by listening to you.

Psalm 94:19When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.

He comforts you by giving you hope and joy.

Psalm 119:50, 52Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles. . . . I meditate on your age-old regulations; O Lord, they comfort me.

He comforts you by reviving you with his Word.

Psalm 119:76Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant.

He comforts you with his unfailing love.

Psalm 147:3He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.

He comforts you by healing your broken heart.

Romans 8:26The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

He comforts you by his Spirit when you pray and cry out to him—even without words.
