Can’t I work on my character when I get older? I’m only young once and other kids don’t seem to be worried about it.

1 Timothy 4:12Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

No one knows how long they will live. But more importantly, godly character is simply a reflection of who we are. If you aren’t interested in developing godly character now, you won’t be interested in it later. In fact, developing godly character while you are young will help keep you from making some life-altering mistakes. Be an example to others of the value of living for God and not for oneself.
