Why is it important to thank God for his blessings?

Psalm 92:1-2It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening.

God has given you far more than you realize—all of it undeserved, all of it freely given because he loves you. If a blessing is worth receiving, it is worth your thanksgiving. Remember that your thanksgiving will always run far behind God’s giving.
