What responsibilities come with God’s blessings?

Deuteronomy 16:17“All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God.”

We must be willing to give away our blessings in order to serve God and others. The Lord promises to see and reward the generosity of his people.

Matthew 10:8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

As God blesses you, you are to bless others. Receiving and giving go hand in hand. Be careful of taking God’s blessings for granted, forgetting that you have received everything you have.

Acts 20:35I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Being a blessing to others is itself a great blessing. Recognize with delight when God makes it possible for you to help provide for others.
