Can we do things that affect how much God blesses us?

Psalm 84:11The Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

God promises to bless those who do what is right; he doesn’t extend the same promise to those who don’t do what is right. When we relate to God as he deserves, we allow him to decide what to bless us with rather than insisting we know better than God does what is good for us.

Proverbs 19:17If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord—and he will repay you!

When we reach out to someone in need, we represent God and become a channel for his blessing in their lives. Furthermore, God promises to bless those who help the poor!
