Matthew 6:24No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

You cannot belong to both Christ and the world because their purposes are so different. When you belong to the world, you will pursue worldly pleasures, which are self-indulgent. When you belong to Christ, you will pursue godly acts that are in conflict with the world. There is no dual citizenship with the world and Christ.
