Mark 14:24He [Jesus] said to them, “This is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice for many.”
John 14:6-7Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!”
Romans 5:1Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
Romans 5:10-11Since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
The foundation of our alliance with God is our faith in his Son, Jesus Christ. Only by repenting or our sins and trusting in Christ alone for salvation can we have a relationship with God.

Our alliance with God is a love relationship characterized by faithful obedience. When we commit our lives to him as our ultimate authority, he promises to bring us into his eternal Kingdom and to live in perfect union with him forever.
