What are some of the qualities of God’s abundant nature?
Ephesians 3:18May you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
Ephesians 2:4-5God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
1 Peter 1:3All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again . . .
God’s love and mercy are showered on us in abundance. Our God is not the God of the half-full or half-empty cup. He is God of the overflowing cup.
Romans 5:20-21God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant. So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ephesians 1:7-8He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.
God gives abundantly because he loves abundantly. When we love someone abundantly, we want to give to that person abundantly.
Job 5:9He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.
Psalm 31:19How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.
God’s abundant goodness is evidenced in his blessings. God is good. So, we should not be surprised that he always does good. God is the abundant creator of the miraculous. This is too vast for us to comprehend.
