How can I experience God’s abundance in my life?

Romans 5:17-18, 20The sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. . . . God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.

We can experience God’s abundant life because of Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Because of what Jesus did for us, we have victory over sin and the abundant blessings that come with it.

Romans 5:5This hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Ephesians 3:16I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Titus 3:5-6He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

God’s Holy Spirit empowers us to live abundantly, even when our own resources run out. Living an abundant life comes from being filled with God’s Spirit.

Luke 6:38Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop . . . For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

We experience God’s abundant generosity as we are abundantly generous with others.
