I’m really good in certain things. How can God use those abilities as I serve him?

Matthew 25:21“Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities.”

Matthew 25:29“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance.”

Luke 12:48“When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.”

1 Corinthians 10:31So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Our natural talents and abilities are gifts from God; thus, with them comes the responsibility for using them well. A person may be gifted in the areas of cooking, athletics, entertaining, managing a business, caring for animals, fixing things, playing an instrument, or many other areas. God can use any gift if we offer it freely to his service. An athlete can witness to her teammates through her words, attitude, and actions. A handyman can help a neighbor who can’t afford to get his car fixed. A musician can visit a nursing home to perform for the residents. Whatever our abilities, we can find ways to bless others and honor God through them.
