Peter

Peter

Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.

Luke 22:31-32

Thank God for Peter, the apostle of failure! Though he stumbled, he didn’t stay down, and though he sinned, he didn’t wallow in his guilt ad infinitum but repented, stood to his feet, and went forward to change the world for Christ.

Proverbs 24:16 must have been Peter’s life verse: “A righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.”

Or perhaps Psalm 37:24: “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholds him with His hand.”

Have you stumbled? Failed? Fallen on your face?

Don’t just lie there—get up! There were no sinless Bible heroes except Jesus Himself, and even the great heroes of the faith had moments of mistakes, missteps, and miserable failure.

But they didn’t give up—and neither must you. Get back on your feet, dust yourself off, and go forward for Christ!

Never doubt in the dark what God told you in the light.
