God’s Solution
God’s Solution
He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
Micah 6:8
We have become a society obsessed with all-natural, organic products. There are now entire supermarkets devoted to offering organic products, all-natural supplements, and other healthy alternatives. According to a recent survey, more than 45 percent of adults try to include organic food in their diets.
Eating healthy and being conscientious about organic foods is good. But natural isn’t always a description of a good thing. Consider the natural man. According to Scripture, “The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14). When it comes to spiritual wisdom and discernment, the natural man is dependent only on carnal impulses. And such wisdom is “earthly, sensual, [and] demonic,” resulting in “envy . . . self-seeking . . . confusion . . . and every evil thing” (James 3:15-16).
“Natural” solutions fit in with the standards of this world, but they are not adequate for the Kingdom of God. When you need wisdom, “Ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach” (James 1:5).
There is no wisdom but that which is founded on the fear of God.
