All These Things

Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

Matthew 6:32

The Bible is full of the phrase “all these things.” Jacob once moaned, “All these things are against me” (Genesis 42:36). But Romans 8:28 says “all [these] things” work together for our good.

Referring to His teachings, Jesus asked, “Have you understood all these things?” (Matthew 13:51). Referring to the Old Testament, Paul writes, “All these things happened” for our admonition (1 Corinthians 10:11). Referring to the events of the Nativity, Mary “kept all these things in her heart” (Luke 2:51).

When Jesus rose from the grave, the women at the tomb hurried to tell “all these things to the eleven and to all the rest” (Luke 24:9).

The Bible tells us that “in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:37). And we’re commanded to “above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection” (Colossians 3:14).

He is the God of “all these things.” He knows that you need all these things. And if we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33).

Seek first, then, your Father’s kingdom and His righteousness on high. All these things will then be given; God will not neglect your cry.
