Tasting God’s Goodness
Tasting God’s Goodness
Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Psalm 34:8
Confront your fears today. I know it can feel risky, but I promise you that God is with you. Let these verses cause faith and trust to rise up in you:
• He promises to be your light in the darkness and your strength (Psalm 21:1; 27:1).
• He reminds you not to be dismayed, because He will help you and hold you (Isaiah 41:10).
• He tells you to be of good courage because He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
• He exhorts you to be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6).
• And He delivers you from your troubles and doubts and fears so that you may taste and see His goodness (Psalm 34).
When you look bravely at your fears, you are poised for God to free you from any fear that constrains you. When He does, your world becomes bigger. Your life opens wide to the possibilities and even the miracles that He has for you. And your heart is more open to serving God—in His power and by His grace—despite any risk involved. Taste and see that He is good. Know that you are blessed as you take refuge in Him.
Lord, I choose to be strong and courageous. I exchange my fears for faith in Your goodness. I take refuge in You.
