Off With The Old
Off With The Old
Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Ephesians 4:15
As you celebrate New Year’s Eve and reflect on what God has done in your life this past year, remember His life-giving truths for every day of the coming year:
1. Fear is banished (1 John 4:18).
2. Love is stronger than death (Romans 6:9).
3. Good triumphs over evil (2 Corinthians 2:14).
4. Our needs can be met in Christ (Philippians 4:19).
5. Captives can be set free (Luke 4:18).
6. Hope can be restored (Romans 5:5).
7. Diseases can be healed (Matthew 8:17).
8. Peace can prevail (John 14:27).
9. Joy can reign (John 16:24).
10. Failures can be redeemed (Romans 8:28).
Our hurting world also needs to know the truths above, truths that flesh out what it means to have Jesus as our Savior and Lord.
So I encourage you to continue in the journey toward putting off the old—whether it’s shame, fear, hopelessness, or something else—and putting on Christ. Speak up so that no one misses out on hearing about all that our almighty and all-loving God longs to do for them.
Lord, I continue to mature in Your love, sharing the truth as I go. Thank You for Your presence with me every step of the way.
