Go With Him
Go With Him
Surely the righteous will praise your name, and the upright will live in your presence.
Psalm 140:13
As I faced my fear of flying years ago, I had important questions to answer: Was I going to choose fear, or would I choose faith in the One who has overcome the world? Was I going to worry about hurtling through the sky in a metal tube, or trust the One who hung the stars and moon in place?
I had to overcome my fear to fulfill my calling—and so will you. What fear is keeping you from your purpose—from your destiny? Jesus has charged all of us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” And He included with it a fear-busting truth: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:19–20).
We’re not directed to go as long as or if or after Jesus removes all danger and takes away all our fear. We go in spite of and even if and anyway. He says simply: Go. Go with Me.
Jesus has been saying this to me all my life. And every time, He gives me the courage to look fear in the face and dare to go where He is calling me to go—knowing He is with me.
Jesus, thank You for going with me into the unknown, past my fears, and toward Your glory. Remind me that You are with me always.
