Embrace Your Place
Embrace Your Place
You have searched me, LORD, and you know me.
Psalm 139:1
In the race we’re called to run, God never throws away a runner. He never disqualifies us from the race for any reason. There aren’t even any insignificant lanes, unimportant legs, or second-rate positions. Every runner is important, as is every lane, every leg, and every position we find ourselves in as we run our race.
God not only has a specific place for you, but He also has perfect timing when it comes to moving you along your track. He has searched you and He knows you—and He’s growing you in this leg of the race. May that hope keep you running today when you’re tempted to leave the race or simply stand on the sidelines for a while. Resist those feelings of inferiority that might disconnect you from the purposes God has in mind for you, or that could distance you from Him. Follow close to Him, and you’ll never go too fast or too slowly.
Boldly embrace your place. It is important and significant. God’s plans are good, and He is glorified when you trust that His purposes for you are guided by His will and His timing.
Thank You, Lord, for knowing me and placing me at this point in my race. Help me follow You wherever I need to be.
