Your Grand Canyon

Your Grand Canyon

The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden.

Isaiah 58:11

No one said that marriage was easy. And when people enter into nuptials with preconceived notions about being fulfilled by their spouses, problems begin. That’s what one couple experienced. After much dissatisfaction in their marriage, a husband carefully approached his wife and said, “Dear, you have a Grand Canyon of emotional needs. And if every man in the United States lined up to spend time with you, it would not be enough.” She realized that what her husband said was true. Until she went to God to have her emotional needs met, there was nothing that her husband or any other man on the planet could do to satisfy her.

Every one of us deals with a lack of fulfillment when we try to find ultimate joy in anything or anyone but Jesus Christ. Do you know that God wants to reveal Himself to you as the Lover of your soul? He will bring you into an incredible, intimate relationship filled with unconditional love—enough love to fill your Grand Canyon of emotional needs. Go to Him now. Share with Him how you feel, and allow Him to fill you up.

God, show me what is causing me to feel so empty and so dissatisfied with my marriage. Let this be a time of healing and growth.
