Seen, Known, and Loved
Are you ready to take hold of your toxic thoughts and experience the wholehearted love that you have been created for, but you still find yourself in a season of waiting?
If this is you, it is important to know where to focus your mind. The book of Philippians offers some good guidance: “whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” (4:8, NIV).
All these qualities find their source in God. As you wait, you can seek Him and focus on strengthening your relationship with Him. He wants you to know His love for you, and He’s waiting for you to choose to love Him back. No relationship could ever be better than a close, intimate relationship with God, through Jesus.
The “waiting seasons,” while difficult, are also some of the best times for growth and maturity. They allow us to focus on areas that need improvement and ways that we can grow closer to God. We can become financially viable not only for our own security but also so we’re prepared to take care of a future partner, and we can become physically healthy not only for our own well-being but also to live longer with our spouse. There are so many ways that we can better ourselves in those seasons in order to be ready should God bring someone into our lives.
There is never a better day than today to start intentionally loving God with your whole heart, and learning to love and forgive yourself too. Wholehearted love is found only with a foundation in Jesus Christ, who covers your past, your present, and your future with His love. He never intended for you to experience the pain that you have endured, but He can use it for good. He was with you when your heart was broken, and He wants to piece it back together again. You can say no to the lies spoken over you daily, and you can choose the truth that you have been beautifully and wonderfully created.
Jesus offers you a more extravagant love than the best love stories. You are seen, known, and loved by Him, and you can walk forward knowing His love intimately as you pursue all the dreams He has placed on your heart.

Romans 5:1-5: “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.”
1 Peter 5:6-7: “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
2 Thessalonians 3:5: “May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.”
