Real Secret To Youth

Psalm 103:5

Have you noticed the great number of potions for ageless youth advertised on television or in women’s magazines? The battle against aging rages on because there hasn’t been a foolproof earthly formula found yet to prevent it from happening. And let me tell you a little secret: there never will be.

Psalm 103 is a song of praise for everything that God gives us who are His children. When you and I have a personal relationship with the Lord, we gain strength from Him. I have never met a Christian with a vibrant connection to Christ who was not a beautiful, seemingly ageless person at any age! And this is just the beginning. When we commit our lives to Christ, we can look forward to being with Him forever, without any of the effects of aging we experience now.

I am grateful that early in life I made the decision to go God’s way and not mine. I purposed in my heart not to interfere with His plans, and I can say that His way has always proved to be the best. I had no idea that walking with God and not going ahead of Him with my own plans would prove to be the most fun, fulfilling adventure of my life.

He promises to fill our lives with good things, and I, for one, don’t want to miss out. Okay, I’ll admit that I buy face cream with sunscreen, but I know it cannot give me youth. A youthful spirit is something that only God can give. He gives it to all His people, along with other good gifts! Look what we have to look forward to—Jesus presenting us to God as His church, “without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).

Feeling your age? You are young in Christ. He renews our youth when we put our faith and trust in Him. He is our best look!
