Meditation Moment: Psalm 37

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the godly are generous givers. Psalm 37:21

You can tell a lot about people by the way they handle money. Have you ever been around a friend who never has money to help share the cost of a pizza, but always wants an extra slice? How about someone who always refuses to pitch in a buck for the coach’s gift that the whole team is supposed to be giving? That isn’t a good quality to have. They demonstrate a tremendous lack of generosity. Their focus is all on themselves.

God’s Word says that we are always to repay anything we borrow and that we are supposed to give generously. Can you see those qualities of financial integrity and open-handed generosity in your daily living?

Take a moment to apply this verse to your life. First, read the focus verse and then pray, asking God to speak to you through it. Finally, wait for him to reveal a thought, idea, picture, or story. Write or draw it below or in a journal.
