An Ending And A Beginning
An Ending and a Beginning
Bible Blast: Read Philippians 1:3-11
I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6
It’s New Year’s Eve! Do you have special plans with your family tonight? Do you get to stay up until midnight? Does your mom cook a special meal for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day? It’s our family’s favorite night to spend playing games with friends. We love games, especially card games. So we make a table full of snacks, invite friends over, and start playing! Before we know it, it will be time to turn on the television to watch the ball drop in Times Square. And then we fall asleep dreaming of tomorrow’s big pork and sauerkraut dinner!
Today I want you to sit down with your mom and answer these questions about this past year:
• What’s something really funny that happened?
• Did anything difficult happen?
• What new thing did you start doing?
• What’s the best book you read?
• What is one thing God taught you?
• What was the most fun thing your family did?
It’s so good to remember what has happened. Even if you experienced something hard, it’s great to look back and see how God helped you through it. He’s done a lot of things in you and through you this year, hasn’t he? And he has big plans to use you next year, too. Are you excited for that?
Girl Gab: Mom, pray today’s Bible Blast over your daughter as a blessing for the year ahead.
