What does it mean to live the victorious Christian life?

God’s Response

Every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. 1 John 5:4

It is you who gives us victory. Psalm 44:7

Sin always destroys —sometimes dramatically, sometimes slowly. Sin harasses you, constantly trying to draw you away from your relationship with God. When temptation is allowed to lurk around the edges of your life, sin is allowed free reign in your heart. It is like a cancer that you fail to remove from your body. It is painful, it infects you, and it will eventually kill you. The more relentlessly you battle sin and remove it piece by piece from your life, the more you will experience the victorious Christian life and all its blessings. To achieve God’s future rewards, you must be obedient in the present.

How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord! 1 Corinthians 15:57
