How can I show my love for God?

God’s Response

If you love me, obey my commandments John 14:15

When you obey me, you remain in my love. . . . I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! John 15:10-11

No, O people, the LORD has already told you what is good, and this is what he requires: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8

Obedience expresses your love for God. This should not be confused with earning God’s love by doing good works. You obey God because you are already loved, not in order to be loved. As you obey, you will experience increasing joy because you will see God at work in your life every day. What small step of obedience can you take right now?

God’s Promise

If you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the nations of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me. Exodus 19:5
