Remembrance

What are some good things I should remember about the past?

God’s Response

Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me. Psalm 71:18

We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did. . . . So each generation can set its hope anew on God, remembering his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Psalm 78:4, 7

Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his miracles. . . . Think of the wonderful works he has done, the miracles and the judgments he handed down. Psalm 105:2, 5

Never forget what God has done for you. Share God’s faithfulness —both in your life and in the lives of others —with your friends, family, children, and grandchildren, so that you will build a testimony for future generations.

God’s Challenge

Will not even one of you apply these lessons from the past? Isaiah 42:23
